On warm early summer evenings, I find myself looking up toward the treetops when that familiar sound reaches me. The woodcock making it's way over the forest, a sound that takes me back to childhood and that still feels like one of spring's finest signs.
This painting is made from that memory, a woodcock in flight caught in the soft evening light between the trees. For you who have spent time in nature and know what it means when the woodcock's call is heard over the forest.
The painting is framed in dark oak, which beautifully complements the soft colors. A mounted hanging system on the back makes it ready to hang straight away.
